Statistics

My people perish for a lack of knowledge

Our belief is that no one should have to live a life in bondage to addiction. We believe that your best life will be lived when you are free from addiction and we have committed ourselves to creating information and technology that help set people free.

Why should you care about statistics?

It’s important for recovering addicts to know the negative statistics related to their addiction for several key reasons:

  1. Increased Awareness: Understanding the harsh realities and potential consequences of addiction, including relapse rates and the physical, emotional, and social tolls, can serve as a powerful wake-up call. This awareness helps individuals recognize the seriousness of their situation and the importance of sustained effort in recovery.

  2. Motivation for Change: Negative statistics can act as a deterrent. By knowing how many people face severe consequences—like overdose, health complications, or legal issues—due to addiction, individuals may feel more motivated to commit to their recovery journey and avoid becoming part of those statistics.

  3. Realistic Expectations: Recovery is often a long-term process with potential setbacks. Knowing relapse rates or the challenges faced by others can help individuals set realistic expectations, preventing disillusionment if they encounter difficulties. It helps normalize the struggle and emphasizes that setbacks don’t mean failure.

  4. Fostering Accountability: Being aware of the negative outcomes linked to addiction encourages personal accountability. It reminds individuals that their choices impact not only their own lives but also the lives of their loved ones, potentially pushing them to stay on the path to sobriety.

  5. Empowerment Through Knowledge: While the statistics can be daunting, they can also be empowering. Once individuals know the risks, they can make informed decisions, actively work on prevention strategies, and seek out additional support when necessary.

We believe that no one should have to live a life addicted to pornography.  We also believe that you are more than capable of being set free.  Knowing the statistics related to this battle helps us understand what we're up against and will help us see why we should desperately pursue a life of recovery.
